Tribunal declares two Adamawa Assembly inclusive

Two All Progressives Congress (APC) members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly seats have been declared inclusive on Friday by  the judgements of the National/House of Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal which declared their elections.

The members, Hon. Ibrahim Musa (Italiya) and Hon. Babangida Muhammad Njidda, representing Mayo Belwa and Nasarawo Binyeri constituencies respectively may now have to head to the appeal court to seek further verdict on their matter.

The tribunal delivering separate judgements in petitions filed by Hon. Musa Mahmud Kallamu and Hon. Umar Nashon Gubi, invalidated the elections conducted at 5 polling units in the 2 constituencies.

Delivering the judgements, the tribunal declared elections held at Chokkol Joda, Wuro Aminu and Wuro Mana I units in Mayo Belwa constituency inconclusive, saying that the exercise was conducted not in compliance with the electoral act.

It also declared the 18th March, 2023 elections conducted at Bura Manga unit in Nasarawo Jereng Ward and Sitim Koleni unit in Gangfada ward in Nasarawo Binyeri constituency inconclusive.
